These are a few of the many ways of becoming friends with us. We could also suggest buying us drinks, or inviting us for a week-long hike in the mountains.
Where am I?
You are at BoogiePost Recordings’ home on the web. BoogiePost is a small independent record label from Sweden and Denmark, releasing mind-blowing music wrapped in awesome packages.
What kind of music do you release?
Everything (almost) we release will sound different. The one thing all our musics have in common is the urge to tell a story, or make a statement of some kind. Also, most of our music is based on improvisation, but that’s a tool, not a sound. We recommend you to check out our releases for a true firsthand experience.
How can I get your music?
- The cheap way: Listen to the songs from the release pages on this site, or borrow the CD’s from a friend.
- Slightly more expensive: Listen to free samples on iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, or Payplay, and buy only the good-sounding tracks.
- For the complete experience buy the albums through this site, CDBaby or CDON. You can also ask your local CD store (if it still exists) to order them for you.
Why do you release CDs? This is 2009, after all.
We are aware of the imperfections of the CD format, but after a series of well-founded calculations (and asking our stomachs), we decided to go for it anyway.
Why don’t you offer your songs for free?
This is something we are discussing almost every day at the office (just pretend we have one). Some of us thinks that it would be great for getting people to know the music, some of us thinks it would be a economic disaster. Maybe both are right. But we are constantly thinking of alternatives to this ancient business model.
Are you on Myspace?
Yes, and a few of the others as well. The list is over here.
Please please sign me up on your mailing list.
Glad you asked. Please Sign up here.
Who can I contact?
To contact BoogiePost directly, you may use the form on the right. We have the artist’s contact information on the artist pages.
Can I use your music for free in my gun commercial?
Contact us or the artists directly if you would like to use their music. Some of the music on this site may (now or in the future) be released under a more liberal license (even allowing you to use it for gun commercials), but if not explicitly stated, the copyright to the music on this site belongs to the respective artists.
What made this site?
This site is powered by coffee, the vim editor, Wordpress, with the Secure Form Mailer plugin from Dagon Design. The events are managed through Last.fm.
