Rhododendron String Band
Rhododendron String Band may seem like your next-door string band. Equipped with traditional instruments, along with the one-of-a-kind Flexichord and electronics, they bring those old American folk songs into an uncertain future. This is the soundtrack for man’s battle against nature and himself: Loneliness has never felt so lonely, desperation never so desperate, happiness never so full of happiness.
Rhododendron String Band is Samuel Hällkvist and Stephan Sieben on guitars and banjo, Johannes Burström on the double bass, and Herman Müntzing on the Flexichord and sampler. Additionally, the band is usually inviting guest artists that vary, as the seasons.
