Television Pickup
Television Pickup had their first public appearance in spring 2004, and has since then been around Sweden and Denmark playing for dogs and grandmothers. Katrine Amsler’s music is characterized by simple but spellbinding melodies, rearranged and transformed by the band. And if everything else is beyond recognition, the moods and the typical Television Pickup sound is what glues it all together.
Television Pickup is Katrine Amsler playing the piano, Samuel Hällkvist on guitars, Thomas Backman on reeds, Michala Østergaard on the drums and Johannes Burström playing electronics and some bass. When they’re not together, Katrine is making music, Samuel plays with Eliveation, Michala is drumming with Nuaia, Thomas is probably out with Paavo, and Johannes is doing it the Big Bombastic way.
