Kriktor

Kriktor is a trio, or a sextet if you count the electronics. They do slow, systematic explorations of sound, often leaning towards the monotonic and chaotic. Their playing is heavily affected by the electronics - controllable by each musician - which through simple means are challenging the traditional roles of the instruments. The output is often as much of a surprise for themselves as for the listeners.

Theory aside, Kriktor exists for the sole purpose of striking things that sound like love.

Kriktor is Joakim Sandén on the left, Anders Uddeskog on the right, and Johannes Burström in the middle, playing bass. Joakim is also working out with Corpus Morgan, Anders Uddeskog plays with Oddforest, and Johannes might make music with the Move Project.

Bjärta Färger

Kriktor gives space to the smallest sounds in a tense dissection of harmony and rhythm. It’s stubborn, but also extremely indecisive. It’s music made simple – perhaps even stupid. It’s quite possibly like nothing you’ve ever heard.
