Seven Peace Orchestra have existed since 2003, making music both thoroughly composed and freely improvised, sometimes even at the same time. With their self-coined genre, peace jazz, Seven Peace Orchestra is not only about great music, but also honesty and equality between people, no matter gender, colour or income. The compositions are made by drummer Martin Öhman, and adapted to the moment by seven highly individual musicians.
In the band: Emil Strandberg on the trumpet, Lisen Rylander and Thomas Backman on reeds, Emma Nordlund on the cello, Magnus Bergström playing the bass, Martin Hall on the piano and Martin Öhman on drums. You can hear some of these people in other fine bands, such as Television Pickup, The Splendor and Klabbes Bank.
